Campbelltown is where my husband Jimmy and I have chosen to raise our family. We have lived here for 11+ years and are actively involved in the community. Our two children attend East Marden Primary and Il Nido Children's Centre and play sport, music and dance at local centres. I am an an ARC member, and Lochiel parkrun regular.
I believe Campbelltown Council should be more representative of the community including women and young families. I want to bring fresh ideas, progressive values and experience of working and raising a family in 2018 to the Chamber.
I stand for inclusive, representative, progressive, healthy communities. I believe our city has untapped potential for vibrancy and innovation. I support local businesses, environmental sustainability and citizen engagement.
I will stand up for what I think is best for the community, and present the voices of the community to Council.
My campaign is self-funded and not associated with any political parties.
I have a Master of Public Health and a Bachelor of Health Sciences, in addition to 17+ years of experience working in Government and non-profit organisations both in Adelaide and overseas. I started my own consulting business in 2013 and earlier this year was recognised as one of South Australias 40 Under 40 Business Leaders. I was awarded the Public Health Association of Australia and Australian Health Promotion Association (SA Branches) South Australian Primary Health Care Practitioner in 2014. I am a Founder of the Australian Public Health Consultants Network.
I am a founding member of Campbelltown City Council's Child Friendly Cities Initiative. I volunteer member on the National Steering Committee for Parents' Voice, and regularly volunteer at Lochiel parkrun and East Marden Primary School. I am an active member and supporter of the LOVE Campbelltown Facebook group.
